The Juggernaut Motorsports team returned to Lanark County for the 2013 Lanark Highlands Forest Rally. After both cars DNF’d at last year’s event both drivers were hoping that history wouldn’t repeat itself.
Sutherland/Gospodinov started the rally off with a much improved pace from the previous year. “I felt really good at the start of the rally; despite some troubles we had with notes I was really happy with our pace. On the first stage we beat our time last year by just over a minute which I was quite pleased about.” G.Sutherland
Unfortunately on stage 4, Sutherland/Gospodinov hit a rock which dented their rim so badly that it managed to cut the front passenger side brake line which caused them to DNF. “It was very surprising when I went to push the brakes and my foot went right to the floor; luckily we were able to pull over in a safe area.” G.Sutherland
With a bit of a slow start at the beginning of the day, Kulikowski/Vincent ended up setting some very competitive stage times. ”Despite some issues early in the day with both pace and the car, Derek helped me regain my focus for a great final result” A.Kulikowski
At the end of the day Kulikowski/Vincent ended up 2nd place (open 2wd) and 3rd place novice. Both teams had a good weekend over all and will both be appearing at the Black Bear Forest Rally on July 13th.
We would like to thank our sponsors as well: NV Auto, HID Canada and O’Brien Motorsports

Juggernaut Motorsports had yet another successful weekend at the 2012 Rally of the Tallpines. Due to unfortunate circumstances the car of Sutherland/Gospodinov suffered a mechanical DNF early in the day but would live on in the form of cannibalized parts in the other team car of Kulikowski/Sleigh.
The Kulikowski/Sleigh car would push through the days competitive stages taking 2nd in class (Group 2), 9th in region and 3rd 2WD. It was not without effort though as the team battled ball joint issues for the majority of the day. The roads proved to be a challenge for many teams and tire choice was a crucial element of the event.
“The road surfaces were really varied and some sections of the longer stages were downright scary on gravel tires. Having seen the multiple flats of others teams including both front runners I feel that I made the right tire choice trading maximum grip of snow/ice tires for the reinforced sidewalls of gravel tires.” A. Kulikowski
Keep an eye on Juggernaut Motorsports for another exciting year in 2013! Neither car will be attending Rallye Perce Neige however look for both at the Lanark Highlands Forest Rally!

Juggernaut Motorsports had yet another excellent showing at GCFR this past weekend. After seven special stages, Gary Sutherland drove to excellent results; 2nd in class (Group 2), 3rd two wheel drive and 7th overall. Being only his 3rd event as a driver he was ecstatic with the results.
‘The car felt great this weekend. Apart from losing some time due to a fogged windshield, everything felt great. I also felt that I was really starting to improve with my driving technique. In previous events I was having trouble setting a pace. At GCFR I was really starting to feel more confident in both the notes and the car. I was very happy with the end result and I look forward to competing at the Rally of the Tall Pines in November!’ -G. Sutherland
Showing impressive pace early on, Juggernaut Motorsports is expecting great things out of its’ newest driver.
Look for a two car entry from Juggernaut Motorsports at their home event – the Rally of the Tall Pines – November 23-24, 2012. This event promises a great mix of rough, tight, twisty and technical stages as well as extremely fast, flowing and wide open stages; both requiring total commitment and concentration. To add to the already complex test, the weather conditions play a vital role in determining the outcome of the special stages; tire strategy is crucial at this race and may only be decided for certain in the early morning hours before the race.
With just over three months until the Rally of the Tall Pines the work never stops; Juggernaut Motorsports will be making strategic upgrades to the competition cars in areas where they feel they are lacking and thus vulnerable to the competition. Keep your eyes on their website for related information.
Juggernaut Motorsports would like to thank their partners: NV auto, CDNRally.com and O’Brien Motorsports for their support!
After a great result for both cars at the Black Bear Rally in July (back-story and results to follow), Juggernaut Motorsports will be contesting the Galway Cavendish Forest Rally with a single car effort in the picturesque Kawartha Highlands this weekend. With the forecast calling for a potentially wet road surface, this typically quick road may add a reduction in grip levels to the mix.
This is Gary Sutherland’s first time seeing this road from the driver seat and the limestone quarry road promises at least a few new experiences!
Juggernaut Motorsports would like to thank their partners; NV Auto, CDN Rally and O’Brien Motorsports for their continued support!
‘The team and crew are looking very forward to spending a weekend in the Kawartha Highlands; rain or shine! See you there!’ – Andrew
